Curriculum Vitae

Name: Joshua Pothecary

Current occupation: Learning Games Technology Level 3 at Access Creative College

Personal Statement:

I generally consider myself someone who is hard working in subjects that interest me. I am also very eager to learn aboout new things, especially if they're related to games development or the games industry as a whole. I really enjoy designing and coding in mechanics for games. What interests me most about programming is the fact that you have to go through it bit by bit and build fuctions from the ground up, it also feels great to see a peice of code you've worked on for a while actually perform well and work the way you intended.

I am currently working with Unreal Engine and find the visual coding very usefull. Though I have previously done programming in unity, so I have experience with actual coding. I have made scripts in C++, C#, Javascript, and Python, so I have used a few different languages for projects unrelated to games. I have also used Blender quite a bit to create 3D models either to render into a scene or to include into a game.

Interests:

I am very interested in gaming as a whole, with a large game library on Steam and, as I said previously, I really enjoy programming not only games but scripts for other uses, E.g. discord bots
